Answer: The padding inside the fabric wall on the gear-side makes it unclear whether it is insulation, but it is not just a fabric wall. There also seems to be some sort of (thinner) padding sewn on the body side. Additionally, the pack has a suspension system that creates a gap between the bladder and body, ensuring that it does not come into contact with body heat.
