It’s important to note that this is a very fine steel wool that can be easily pulled apart and used for hand sanding, but it would fall apart on a belt sander. The 1lb roll is tightly wound to save space but has no discernible starting point for unrolling, necessitating tearing it someplace initially to begin with, thereby creating an initial hassle. The product comes with no oil trace at all, which makes it different from other brands as it doesn't shed a ton of steel fibers on your workpiece.
