It provides quick, accurate and Consistent measurements, however, it is not likely to be accurate on animals. The beep sound cannot be turned off, but a report will be made to the R&D department for improvement. In terms of reviews, it is easy to use, fast, accurate and Consistent, making it worth the price. However, some reviewers have found it unreliable with measurements that are up to 4 degrees off and very inConsistent.
