    Answer: Yep it can accept a DW standard (relatively thick) hi hat rod.

    Answer: I can't answer this 100% correctly. However, while this Gibraltar clutch may fit the vh-12, I don't think it would work the same way with the vh-12, unless the vh-12 acts the same as when two acoustic hi-hats just sit together without the foot pressure.
  • Question: I have a pearl hh and a dw drop clutch that doesn't fit due to the rod being too thick. will the gibraltar be a better fit?

    Answer: I have a pearl hh and the gibraltar works for me.

    Answer: I'm not sure what difference that makes because typically Gibraltar parts are standard threads.
  • Question: I have an old clutch of 6mm but I want to change it for this one, it will fit in the tube of the Hi-Hat?

    Answer: This Gibraltar clutch supports, or fits and clutches any Hi Hat rod (6 to 7 mm in diameter) available today, from thinner Yamaha and Tama rods to thicker DW or Pearl rods. Old rods may also be supported.
