It is equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating, making it a much better option than the BSS610Z. The blade guard is flimsy plastic but can be shimmed up if needed. Customers have used it for various purposes, including Construction projects and cutting granite tiles. Some customers were disappointed it did not come with a battery or a charger. The shoe clicks when changing the angle of the saw, but wobbling is not good. Overall, the saw is highly recommended and has a solid build that will provide service for many years.
