Bower FN62 Variable Neutral Density Filter 62 mm Black

The Bower FN62 Variable Neutral Density (ND) Filter has garnered mixed feedback from users, reflecting a blend of positive experiences and notable drawbacks. Many customers appreciate the solid build quality and smooth fading action of the filter, which offer significant versatility for photography and videography alike. With users praising its affordability, the filter presents an appealing option for those on budgets who still wish to experiment with longer exposure times. Several reviewers highlighted the thoughtful design features, such as the Min/Max stops that prevent users from inadvertently exceeding the filter's effective range. This function contributes to a more user-friendly experience, especially for those who might be less familiar with variable ND filters. However, some users have faced challenges, particularly when paired with wide-angle lenses, where the infamous “X” pattern can detract from image quality. Additionally, a slight color shift towards a cooler tone has been noted, which some users were able to mitigate through post-processing software like Lightroom. The uneven filtering and the inability to achieve the full range of intended light stops have resulted in some dissatisfaction, particularly for more meticulous shooters. Despite the drawbacks reported, a number of users find the Bower FN62 to be an effective budget-friendly tool, delivering adequate performance for everyday shooting and creative projects. The Consensus appears to be that while it's not without its flaws, the filter's prices and features can outweigh the negatives for many photographers and videographers. **
