Question:
Does it have the option to connect the siren to the vehicle horn?
Answer: Yes, it has a wire coming from the controller that attaches to the horn relay. There is a switch on the controller that, if set to siren and you blow the car horn, the siren will sound instead. -

Is the siren speaker waterproof?
Answer: The speaker is, but not the siren unit. -
Question:
Where is the part that doesn't require your hands?
Answer: You can wire the siren box in-line between the horn button on your steering wheel and the horn relay of your vehicle to activate the horn function on the siren unit using the horn button on your steering wheel. The hands-free horn activation refers to not needing to take your hands off of the steering wheel to activate the siren horn. -

How can an additional mic be added?
Answer: The unit has 12v running through each wire going to the radio. Keep that in mind if dealing with it. -
Question:
Is this strictly meant to be placed on top of the vehicle or is it possible to mount it under the hood?
Answer: The siren is meant to be placed inside the cabin and not exposed to the elements. The speaker unit can be placed anywhere on the exterior, usually behind the grille or front bumper. -

Are there any sound demos of the unit?

What color is the backlight on the amp?
Answer: The backlight is green. -

Is there a video/audio of the horn sound?
Answer: It's the same sound as what an ambulance or cop car have. Super loud. -

Is it possible to hook up the PA system by itself and not the sirens?
Answer: Once it is hooked up, it all works. If you don't want to use the sirens, just don't hit the switch. You can use the PA by itself. -

Is there a way to make the mic cord longer or add an extension?
Answer: Possibly with an old school phone landline extension.

The SoundAlert 100W Emergency Police Siren Kit comes with a compact speaker and includes hands-free air horn, PTT mic, and radio rebroadcast features. The siren controller has a switch that, when set to siren, activates the siren instead of the vehicle's horn when you honk the vehicle's horn. The speaker is waterproof, but the siren unit is not. The siren box can also be wired in-line between the horn button on the steering wheel and the horn relay of your vehicle, and the speaker unit can be placed anywhere on the vehicle's exterior. The product is easy to install and has solid Construction.
