Inheritance 2020, The Dvd

** The Inheritance [DVD]** "The Inheritance" has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from viewers, who were left frustrated and dissatisfied with both the execution and the substance of the film. Described largely as a B-rated, low-budget movie, many reviews indicated that the film fails to deliver on its horror promises, instead relying on low-quality shock value that leaves much to be desired. Instead of an engaging scare, viewers reported experiences of boredom, with some even admitting that they fell asleep during the movie. The film does attempt to spin a mystery narrative, following Sasha and her husband as they uncover dark family secrets related to a mansion she inherits. However, the execution of this storyline is riddled with holes, leaving many questions unanswered by the conclusion. Audience members expressed confusion over character motivations and plot twists, pointing out that vital pieces of information were either overlooked or poorly explained. This lack of coherence, alongside criticism of its cinematography and acting—which some described as emotionless—contributed to many concluding that the film felt like a wasted opportunity. Critics particularly highlighted the film's rushed pacing, comparing its 1 hour and 24 minutes runtime to an expanded short story rather than a full-fledged feature. Issues such as poor sound quality, inadequate lighting, and subpar makeup effects exacerbated the experience, leading to calls for reConsideration of how such films are made and presented. Overall, "The Inheritance" stands as a cautionary tale for viewers who might be hoping for a riveting horror experience. **
