    Answer: Yes. Very easy the end pulls off.
  • Question: How do I change between Celsius and Fahrenheit?

    Answer: Just hit the little button on the thermometer, very easy.
  • Question: How can I get actual reading when message says Err?

    Answer: I usually do do over usually works!
  • Question: Does the thermometer need to be calibrated?

    Answer: The company recommends that it be calibrated every few years - I believe it is two years.
  • Question: How to change readout from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

    Answer: Just press the button, very easy. Almost too easy, as sometimes it reverts back to C., but not a problem really..just press the button again.
  • Question: Where is this made?

    Answer: The label says made in Taiwan, finished in China.
  • Question: What is the battery replacement size? Why is it so hard to find the battery size?

    Answer: The usual small I don't know the size of this one yet!
  • Question: What number batteries does it use?

    Answer: 1.5V; LR41; Battery lifetime: approximately 4500 measurement.
  • Question: What type batteries does it use?

    Answer: It has one button type battery, like some hearing aid batteries. You access the battery by prying off the end with the blue logo. I replaced a battery on and old one that came from a hospital, but I don't remember the battery number.
