The fridge produces a hum when the compressor kicks in, but it is not all that noticeable unless the atmosphere is relatively quiet. The fridge doesn't condensate so there is no concern for drips, leaks or flooding. The temperature can not be dropped low enough to freeze, but it works great for delicate products such as flowers.
