The Bosphorus Cymbals M20R 20-Inch Master Series Ride Cymbal has received mixed reviews from customers. One customer received a different cymbal than the one they ordered and found that the paper thin crash cymbal they had received was not suitable for use as a ride cymbal. However, they did find that the crash cymbal had a dark, shimmery sound with a huge wash and long sustain that could work well as a crash in a non-jazz setup of reasonable volume. Another customer found that the 20-inch ride cymbal sounded beautiful when used as a left-side ride in a jazzy setup with a 22-inch Sabian XSR Monarch as their main ride. They found that it was super washy and wobbly, making it more of a crash-ride, but felt that it would not cut through the mix in a loud rock band. Overall, the cymbal was deemed a world-class instrument at an amazing price, but not performance quality.
