It has a 15-amp universal motor that can run efficiently on 50hz, making it ideal for UK use, despite needing a stepdown transformer. The saw has an adjustable base plate for a precise 90-degree cut angle and a strong spring on the blade guard. It can be handled comfortably with the auxiliary handle screwed onto the left or right side of the unit. However, it is not recommendable to use the saw to cut through materials like concrete. The saw is quite big, hefty, and needs some practice before making accurate cuts, and chip out may happen while using the blade that comes with the saw. A finer tooth blade can be used instead of the blade that comes with saw to avoid chip out, which could be expensive. The saw also requires a lot of circular saw experience for accurate cuts. Apart from that, the saw is lightweight compared to other saws of its size and is ideal for heavy industrial use.
