Does the black blade finish wear off?
Answer: I have had 3 of these and never had the black wear off. Another cool thing is that if you break your blade, you can send the knife to Kershaw and they will out a new blade in for free, and if it fills, they will sharpen it for about $8. I have given the leek as gifts, and it never lets me down. Enjoy! -

Is this the same as the 1660CKT, but just a different color?
Answer: Absolutely. I have enjoyed gifting different colors to people who have preferences. I prefer the total black, some like the shiny blade, some like shiny or colorful handles. To each his own. The 1660CKT is my very favorite carry knife in any format. -

Does the color wear off of the handle?
Answer: The handle is anodized aluminum. The color may eventually begin to wear off due to carry, but it is more resistant than a painted finish. -

Answer: If you click on the product photos so they enlarge, you will see Kershaw on the handle, then beneath: SPEEDSAFE USA on this one. Yes, some are made in Taiwan, some in Oregon. This one is made in the USA. It’s a beauty in blue w/ black blade! -

Answer: If you can get a deep carry clip so that a half inch of knife does not hang out yo’ pocket, you’ll have the perfect small knife!
