Lockey USA C120AB Surface Mount Slide Bar Lock, Antique Bronze, Keypad, Lightweight

The Lockey Digital C120JB Surface Mount Slide Bar Lock has garnered a mix of positive and critical feedback from users regarding its functionality, installation, and durability. Customers appreciate the innovative approach to security with its battery-free, programmable keyless operation. The ability to personalize the combination code using internal shims – which come with the lock – is highlighted as a major advantage. This feature allows for a customizable level of security, which many users find appealing, especially when applied to gates or shed doors, where traditional locks may fall short. However, installation is a common concern, as it requires some DIY effort, particularly if the door or gate isn’t the standard thickness. Many buyers reported needing to modify their installations, such as drilling into wood and reinforcing structures, which highlights the product's non-universal application. Quality and durability also receive commendations, with users noting the sturdy mechanism and attractive powder-coated finish. Yet there are criticisms regarding the slide bar's design, with some users experiencing issues with bending that leads to jamming. Additionally, the keypad's visibility and layout received critiques, particularly from Airbnb hosts who noted that guests found it challenging to use. Overall, while the C120JB provides a robust locking solution for specific applications, potential buyers should Consider their installation capabilities and whether the keypad design suits their needs. **
