Does the pin need to have the notch on the post for these keepers to function correctly?
Answer: There’s a tiny piece you pull, insert the item, place the pin inside the keeper and push the tiny part in to hold. It’s hard to explain but I did my best and they do work. -
Question:
Can't remove the pin, I tried several received items, same problem. Is it a bad batch?
Answer: To disengage a pin, press in like a syringe needle and it should be removable. If that doesn't work, then maybe there's something wrong with the mechanism. I'd ask for a replacement. -
Question:
I am unable to separate any of them from the box. Is there a better way to separate the two halves?
Answer: It's actually not two halves. If you look, one end is a smooth curve and one has a hole. That's where you insert the pin. They are a little bulky but work great. I thought they were 2 pieces at first, took me a second to figure it out.
