This 5-gallon plastic bucket with an airtight lid is a food-grade reusable container made of high-grade HDPE plastic. The bucket is sturdy and has a heavy-duty 90 Mil all-purpose pail with a rubber seal on the lid. It is made in the USA and the item is capable of nesting. According to one customer, the lid is difficult to put on without using a rubber mallet to hit around the edges. Some customers are pleased with the product, using it to brine a 20-pound turkey, to store cat food, cat litter, bird feeders, water misters, and so on. On the other hand, some customers are dissatisfied with the product. One customer bought it to store pet food and keep cockroaches out but found that the lid was too difficult to open and close repeatedly. Another found that the lid was not fitting properly and had to use a rubber mallet to get it to go on. Additionally, someone was upset about the shipping cost because it was more expensive than the item they were buying. Finally, a customer found that the lid only seals the lid airtight once, and then you have to peel back the bottom part of the lid to open. Overall, the bucket is good for bucket tasks and is well made. However, the airtight nature of the lid seems to be a hit or miss for many customers, with some needing to use extra force and tools to open and close the lid multiple times.
