Why is there a protruding ledge on the rear of the vertical plate?
Answer: The protruding ledge is present to prevent the display from opening, as it would also not open without the ledge. It also prevents customer misoperation. You could remove the L bracket when not taking vertical shots. -
Question:
Will this grip work with the new OM-5?
Answer: According to specifications and reviews, the body of the OM-5 is 98% identical to the E-M5 mark iii, so this grip/plate is expected to fit perfectly.
