- This hi-lift cast/steel jack is exactly the same as the all-cast jack, except that four of its parts are made from stamped, high-strength steel. This results in a lower price, without compromising strength or load capacity. The only tradeoff is longevity. This cast/steel model is great for the average user, but those who will use their jack on a daily basis with substantial pressure may want to consider the all-cast model instead. The hi-lift jack is rugged, highly versatile, and puts you in command of situations requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, winching, and clamping. It comes complete with an adjustable top clamp/clevis for use in clamping and winching. The safety bolt is designed to shear at 7,000 pounds. For speedy disengaging, the lifting unit automatically drops away when the load is removed. The steel bar can be reversed for an extra-long life. The steel handle is made of 14-gauge high-yield structural tubing with a minimum yield of 55,000 psi.
