- THE ULTRA BASE IS COMPLIANT WITH THE ASTM F3681-24 BEACH UMBRELLA SAFETY STANDARD: Engineers from the Consumer Product Safety Commission have determined that for a 7½' umbrella to be safe it must incorporate 75 lbs of resistance at the bottom pole. This was found to be effective in securing an umbrella in winds up to 30 mph.
