The Rain-Bird ESP-TM2 Indoor Outdoor Irrigation WiFi Zone Controller Timer Box is a complete unit that comes with the ability to control 12 zones out of the box. It is a brand new complete unit that upgrades you from a standard controller to a WiFi controller. Rain sensors are pretty much universal, so it should work just fine with the new timer. The controller is very easy to set up, and it comes with a couple of pre-set programs. It is nice that you can walk around the yard, turn on zones and it notifies you when there is a fault on one of the zones, and it skips it vs just stopping like the old ones did. It is easy to perform setup and make adjustments via Rainbird software on your iPad. However, the app could be a bit more improved. It takes a few seconds for it to connect each time, and sometimes it goes out to lunch, and you have to wait a few minutes. The Link has to be reset often, and it's not possible to export/import the information. Besides, it would be nice to have more integrated weather functions which are a feature in higher-end models.
