Answer: No, the key can be taken out. It is only for testing purposes. -

How deep is the face of this switch from the wall? And what depth backbox is required?
Answer: The face of the switch is about 5mm proud of the wall. It will fit into a 25mm back box. -

How do you wire this as a single lightswitch? There's L1 and L2 on the top and L1 and L2 on the bottom.
Answer: The switch has a common wire as well as L1 and L2 wires. -

Does this switch or an alternative work with a dual light switch?
Answer: This switch removes the permanent live from the emergency light circuit but does not interfere with the normal switching of the fitting. The switch live is operated from the lighting circuit, not the permanent live (test switch).
